For much of my career, I spent days and nights in the hospital taking care of the most ill as a resident, fellow and now attending in the intensive care unit. One thing that I have come to realize is that there were many opportunities prior to these encounters that could have minimized harm, morbidity and mortality for many of the patients and families that I met. After leaving private practice, I discovered that healthcare delivery in its current form was inaccessible for many for a multitude of reasons. There were so many barriers beyond my patients’ and my own control that prevented them from getting the tests and treatments that I recommended. I then began on a path to create a better program for my patients and their families.

I am excited to embark on this journey to guide you to your goals. Your understanding of prevention, your diagnoses, and treatments are the cornerstone of our success. Your input is invaluable in creating a sustainable way to practice and benefit from every touch point you have with your healthcare team. It starts with each individual’s circumstances and building the foundation for future success.

Toni-Denise Espina, MD

Dr. Espina known by many as ‘Dr. Toni’ has been in practice since 2017. She has taken care of people who come from all backgrounds and walks of life. She has a great ability at connecting with people and as their doctor, she hopes to help them understand their disease process in addition to working with them to help achieve their best health.

For some, technology is a useful tool in helping keep their care and life organized. Dr. Espina works hard to incorporate technology into her practice, and also has respect for traditional ways to practice medicine. Her practice is evidence-based and data driven. She hopes to meet her patients at their point in the continuum of healthcare delivery, one step at a time.
